Michigan Eviction Diversion Program This programs assists tenants who fell behind on their rent during COVID 19. Tenants must have received a notice to quit or court order after March 1, 2020. Household income may not be over $50,699. Michigan identification and a lease agreement are also required.   The program benefits landlords by paying all but 7 to 10% of the rent owed. Cass County Council on Aging “TAKE OUT” MEALS Nutritionally-balanced hot meals will be served from our Lowe Center in Cassopolis on a “Take Out” basis. Cost: Free* for people 60 and older  & $5.50 for people under 60 How to Get: Come to the Lowe Center Monday - Friday between 11:45am and 1:00pm Free (a $3.00 donation is suggested for those who are able  



 MEALS ON WHEELS / HOME DELIVERED MEALS Nutritionally-balanced hot meals delivered to your home by COA employees Cost: $4.00 (meal) & $4.50 (meal + roll and milk)* How to Get: Call the Care Services Department at (269) 445-8110 to set up home delivery or email adrienneg@casscoa.org $4.00 & $4.50 prices are for Cass County residents that are 60 or older

    
5 FREE FROZEN MEALS A one-time allotment of 5 Frozen, nutritionally-balanced meals for Cass County seniors who are planning to self-quarantine.  Call the Care Services Department at (269) 445-8110 to set up a delivery or to schedule a pick-up time.   Cost: Free*    To update this information please contact Ruth Andrews at United Presbyterian Church,   269/445-2664 or ruth@upcofcass.comcastbiz.net Food Pantries Friends, if you have enough to eat please consider donating food or funds to a pantry below. We are facing prolonged unemployment and economic depression. Many people depend on these pantries.

ActionDowagiac@gmail.com, 269.782.0000 The A.C.T.I.O.N. food pantry  is open on Saturdays from 10am-12pm.     Food donations may be dropped off on Fridays between 12 and 3pm and Saturdays 9am - noon.


Senior Commodities distributed the second Tuesday of every month from    10 am - 2 pm
TEFAP Food Distribution  third Wednesday quarterly;  Feb, May, August, &   November. 10 – 2 


Cassopolis Public Schools provides meals to any child under the age of 18 or anyone 26 and under with a disability.  Please have your trunk/truck bed open and ready for food to be placed inside. After we place food then please pull ahead to designated area to close your own trunk.   Sam Adams South East Street Parking Lot Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00PM. Church of Cassopolis, 520 Pearl Street, Cassopolis, MI 49031, 269.445.1869 FOOD PANTRY is open on the third Saturday of each month from 12 noon - 2 pm. 


Helping Hands, 130 South Broadway, P.O. Box 221, Cassopolis, MI 49031, 269 445-8104 Regular pantry hours are M, T and Th from 10 – 3. Drive up to the back door and ring the bell, get back into your car and wait for a volunteer to take your info. Personal care items are available in addition to food. In emergencies call the office. 


Edwardsburg Food Pantry (EFP), basement of Our Lady of the Lake, 24832 US 12 East, Edwardsburg, MI 49112, 269-699-6133. Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. 10 – 12:30, serving persons in the Edwardsburg or Union areas. Bring ID,  license and a piece of mail with current name and address. Come to the west parking lot and stay in your car, a volunteer will help you.   


First Church of God, 21083 Spencer Rd., Cassopolis, MI  49031  269/445-8500 Boxes available last Saturday of every month from 9 – 11. Call for emergencies.   


St. Paul’s Food Pantry, 306 Courtland Street, Dowagiac, 49047l. 269/783. 6690. 11:00 to noon, last Saturday of the month.  Curbside pickup.  We have no geographic or income restrictions and we do not require ID.  We are also available for emergencies.   

 
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 305 W State St, Cassopolis, MI 49031,  (269) 445-3950 Monthly food boxes available on the third Saturday between 9:30 and 11. Come to the parking lot and stay in your car. A volunteer will help you. Coordinator: Jenny Bischoff
